A dress fit for a princess, this absolutely gorgeous piece is a true hallmark of its era––a time where handmaking a beautiful dress to someone's specific measurements in a handpicked fabric was not an uncommon occurence. Classic 1950s/early 60s fit & flare silhouette, but made special with a wrapover bodice that reminds us of a little of a Japanese yukata, with an understated elegance. The fitted wrapover bodice gives way to a beautifully constructed full gathered skirt, all rendered in a light, airy woven cotton fabric in a muted eggplant purple. Only notable flaw is some minor faded discoloration at bodice, not noticeable when worn.
