Each Hinge Designs piece is crafted from raw stone that is hand selected from piles and bins of rough material and evaluated for its color, shape, pattern or texture. It is then slowly refined by Marge using lapidary tools and techniques into pieces of wearable art from the Earth. Everything is hand carved or cut under water with diamond plated burrs and bits to create these beautiful pieces. They then go into a rock tumbler for a week to get the soft matte finish that Marge feels brings out more of the details in each stone.
