The Dose is a seasonal newsletter from Sandra and the crew at We Thieves where we share what we're currently "dosing on" with our subscribers. We wanted to make it more readily available to our friends, followers on the socials, and Thieves far and wide, so we've decided to start adding The Dose to our web blog here. Back in the swing of things! Like it or not, Fall has arrived. Maybe not technically but our shops are once again filled with new and returning students. We're meeting all of our new neighbors, and welcoming the cool morning breeze.

Sandra is back after 5 weeks in Florida moving mom out of her house and running her first Estate Sale (more to come on that later). She's lit a fire under us to get the store's lit for Fall, so now is a great time to pop in for Fall freshies. 

Let's drop in...

1. Watching: RUSHMORE. Good ol' Wes Anderson's 1998 comedy, about an overachieving elementary school student, determined to prove his worth at an upper crust private institution. Brilliant costume, and a stacked cast, this is always on my September re-watch list. Available to stream on HULU or The Criterion Channel.
   
   
2. Burning: Brooklyn by Brooklyn Candle Studio. Notes of wild sage, cassis, and orange blossom make this candle a fall favorite and make for a wonderful housewarming gift for those starting up a fresh lease! $42 online or in-store. 
   
   
3. Adorning: Vintage Antique Mexican Sterling Silver and Citrine Crusader's Cross Necklace is one of a kind. Layered with more silver chains, or hanging solo, the detail of this piece is bound to draw some attention. $325.
   
   
4. Visiting: Zusammen nothing like warming up with a fresh glass of natural pinot. From the folks that brought us Momma's Grocery, this new(ish) spot is bound to bring the community together. 2322 Mass Ave, Cambridge. 
   
   
5. Adorning: Sterling silver ear-cuff. Made by friends in Brooklyn. $70 online or at our Mass Ave store. 
   
   
6. Wearing:  Leather for the win. We handpick all our leather (no bulk unseen buys). This suede lined dream is divine––sold, but you can find more where that came from at both of our in store locations, or in our Outerwear section online. 
   
   
7. Listening: Great Art Explained has quick, easy, breakdowns of the great masters of their time. Learning > Doomscrolling. Stream wherever you listen to podcasts. They've also got a great YouTube Channel. Free.
   
   
8. Wearing: Chore Coats!!!  A fresh batch just arrived from cross the pond in every yummy shade you can imagine. Online or at both stores. 
   FAQ: Why is my European chore coat made in Vietnam? The French colonized Vietnam until 1954 - then set up contracts with those facilities post '54. 
   
   
9. Activating: Now is a great time to pull out your seasonal items and assess anything that might need a little attention. Support your local tailor and seamstress - they are critical to communities and mending your garments is a radical act in todays consumption focused culture.
