Vintage Gucci Vittori Accornero African Jungle Scarf

Beautiful vintage Gucci scarf in 100% silk, originally designed by artist Vittori Accornero, who designed many of the house's most treasured silk scarves in the 60s and 70s. Boldly colored and beautifully detailed, featuring a central motif of ungle and safari animals – an elephant, rhino, crocodile, and giraffe – standing in an African landscape of trees and birds. The four corners show cartouches of big cats – a leopard, jaguar, tiger, and lion. The interior is completed with four scenes showing a zebra, eland, monkeys, snakes, and ostrich standing in exotic greenery. Priced and sold as-is; a some minor staining. Made in Italy.
